Linda Richards
Linda Richards began her tech career in marketing then became a web developer in the mid-90s, coding the user interface for an early internet banking prototype. She then led teams of web developers at several different companies, such as Frontier Media Group, Launch Media, and Nestle USA. After a brief hiatus as a yoga and mediation instructor, Linda discovered Geographic Information Systems via James. She’s happy to be working in such an exciting area of technology while also getting back to her marketing roots. When she's not at her desk, you'll find Linda in a yoga class or walking around LA with a cute little baby boy wrapped in a sling.
James Richards
James Richards wrote his master’s thesis on User Interfaces to Computer Based GIS. (It was all command-line back then.) In the early 90’s, he created an award winning Oil Spill Response Application for the Maine Department of Environmental Protection. He also developed one of the first 911 real-time mapping applications. Throughout his 20-year career in GIS, he has prided himself on pushing the capabilities of the Esri platform. Now James has returned to his passion for UI design by creating intuitive, elegant mobile apps with maps for iOS. When he's not working you can find James surfing, changing diapers or washing bottles.
